New Clothing Options on VIDA

I've been in the clothing creation mood lately.  I'm obsessed with seeing some of my face art on tote bags, canvases, pillows...anything that will hold still.  If you get a chance click on my VIDA link and check it out.  Click on the link and do a search with my name to see the whole fun collection.

This is the drawing that the clothing items are created from.

It's a collage of stencils, acrylic paint and pages cut from a catalog.  Tell me what you think when you have a chance.

I hope your week is off to a great start!  hugs ~ Renee

Are you an Alice in Wonderland fan? Mini Album for ATCs

I'm such a fan of AIW.  I created this small art journal to house all the Alice ATCs in one spot.  It can be placed on a shelf or opened up to see the characters at the same time.

Back Cover

This is what is hidden inside the accordion style art journal.

The stamps are from Stampington and IndigoBlu, colored with Imagine Craft Memento Markers after being stamped with Jet Black StazOn ink.

Leave a comment and let me know if you're an Alice fan.  If you are who's your favorite character?

Thanks for stopping by~hugs~Renee

I'm sharing this mini album on the website below.  Check it out there are all sorts of ideas for small albums.  You might want to enter the Mini Album Makers Challenge yourself.  Here's the link.

January 2018 issue of The Stampers' Sampler Give-away

The Stampers’ Sampler Winter 2018

I'm pleased to announce that I'm the Guest Artist in the current issue of The Stampers' Sampler magazine, January 2018 issue.  So many of the cards that I created for this are made with the new Jane Davenport Mixed Media line.  That means lots of washi tape and mermaids.  It is a truly beautiful issue.

I would like to celebrate the occasion with a give-away.  You have to be a follower of this blog and a resident of the U.S.  Not too many rules.  Just leave a comment on this post and I will select a winner on Monday, January 22nd.  Please leave your email address in the comment so I can notify you if you win.

(It's best to put it in this form:  (example) renee(dot)zarate(at)email(dot)com)

Celebrate this wonderful occasion with me!  My thanks to Stampington publications and the editor Gracy Wilkins for featuring my work.

Hugs~Renee

Clothing designs based on my artwork-VIDA

I've been working on designing some very artsy clothing on  VIDA.  This is a site that transfers your art to all different types of products.  It's fun to design your own outfits and accessories that you can wear and hopefully others will enjoy wearing too.  Please click on the link and take a look.

I love a particular piece of art that I produced last year and have ordered it.  This is the piece that started the whole design process for me.

I designed this face for the Coloring Studio workbook published by Stampington.  Can't wait to wear it!

Thanks for stopping by and checking out my latest art adventure.
Hugs ~ Renee

P.S.  If there's anything you can't live without you can use this code: DISCOVERVIDA for a 15% discount on your purchase.

Tim Holtz Paper Doll Pack card

I can't stop playing with these paper dolls by Tim Holtz!  There are several sizes and all are pre-cut which makes life so much easier.  I had this extra background piece and just added the doll and few other left over pieces.  Voila!  A cute card was born.  I'm submitting this to the Country View Challenge.  The challenge is Anything Goes.

The snow is finally melting and the sun shining.  Amen.  We're not set up for ice and snow here in the South that's for sure.  Everything just stops.  Back on track now.

Thanks for stopping by!  hugs ~ Renee

My Word for 2018

Every year I give my "word for the year" quite a bit of thought.  This year I thought my word should be YES.  Hmm...what does that mean?  To me it means saying yes to things that I've been holding back from learning or actually practicing.  Like learning how to do videos of my art process.  That may sound silly but sometimes all of the techie things just get to be too much for my old brain.  I enjoy watching others progress in their journey but fear, like everyone else, holds me back.

So here we go again, another fresh start, another year, another opportunity to learn new and fresh ideas. Please join me in making 2018 a year where you will say "yes" to branching out artistically and embracing different products, ideas and techniques.

What's your word for 2018?  Feel free to share it with me in the comment section.  Thanks for stopping by, I hope you have a great start to a new year.

Hugs ~ Renee
